We sail directly to the youngest island in the world; Surtsey and anker there for around 35 minutes so that passengers can photograph this natural wonder. Today only a few scientists are permitted to land on Surtsey. Surtsey is rougly 50 years old and was formateed in a volcanic eruption in 1963.
During this trip we’ll also check out the southern islands, Súlnasker, Brandur, Hellisey, Suðurey and Álsey. Birds of all kind fill the islands and we might even come acroos some whales. We’ll also visit some sea caves. Among them Klettshellir, which is known for its perfect acoustics and Kafhellir in the island Hæna. Note: We only go on this trip in good weather as nobody would enjoy themselves on the boat in bad weather.
